Here it is – my comprehensive Christmas best buys guide for the women in your life! Of course, as a disclaimer, everyone has different tastes and interests, so some of these ideas might not be suited to whomever you are buying for, but I hope you take each suggestion with a grain of salt and find some good inspiration for gifts for your partner, mother, sister, co-worker – whatever!
I’ve decided to start this off with my best beauty buys for the season, as there have been some AMAZING recent launches (and I’m a sucker for gift sets…). Christmas is the perfect time to gift a close one a new fragrance that they might otherwise not treat themselves to. My current favourite is the Versace Yellow Diamond EDT, but this can be tailored to the person’s preferences. I’ve also got the new By Terry Sun Designer Palette in there (check out By Terry for their Christmas sets, as well, they are beyond beautiful), and my favourite Napoleon Perdis Mattetastic lipstick (again, Napoleon Perdis have some great gift sets available now). If you’re wanting to support more local brands this Christmas, have a look for Just Lippy and Amacyn Natural Perfume at the Canberra Christmas Handmade Markets (8th-10th December). Check out some other suggestions in the edit below.

Christmas is the perfect time to gift stationery and restock our 2018 diary supply (oh, no one else has more than one diary? Just me?). I’ve included a handful of Kikki.K 2018 diaries in the edit below. Pens also make a very special and personal present. I got my Waterman fountain pen from my boyfriend as a present in our first year together and it holds the most special memories. I’m going to include my favourite books for gifting here, as well – I highly recommend Otegha Uwagba’s Little Black Book (non-fiction, self-help) as a stocking filler, as well as John Green’s Turtles All The Way Down (fiction), Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies (fiction), Hannah Kent’s Burial Rites (fiction), Sarah Knight’s Get Your Sh*t Together (non-fiction, self-help), and Alexandra Heminsley’s Running Like A Girl (non-fiction). If you’re not sure exactly what books your giftee has/likes/wants, a Book-a-Buy subscription is AMAZING. You select a genre and they work out the rest (and if the recipient already owns the book, they can send it back and get a replacement!). It’s such a delight getting a surprise book a month in the post.

One of the best things to in the aftermath of Christmas is to sit down with a bunch of lit candles and enjoy a cup of tea. Featured in the pictures is a limited edition Christmas candle from Dusk, but any special scented candle makes an amazing gift. T2 also does gifting extremely well – any of their tea cup sets or boxed collections of loose leaf tea make great presents. Unfortunately, it’s the height of summer at Christmas time, but a fluffy dressing gown or cosy mug will be heavily used throughout the rest of the year. And who knows what the weather will be like at Christmas (I’m currently in a cashmere sweater, jeans and slippers and it’s 16 degrees outside. Canberra…).

For the person who’s always at the gym (or the yoga studio, or running, or whatever sport they do), here’s my top picks of fitness and wellness related Christmas gifting. For stocking fillers, we’ve got socks (I’m always in need) and bath salts. Featured in my photos is the Daily Greatness Training Journal, but any of the Daily Greatness Wellness or Yoga Journals, too, would make wonderful, thoughtful gifts if you’re willing to spend a little more. Yoga mats, gym bags and active wear (or a Lorna Jane gift voucher) are all special gifts for the active person in your life. Or you could treat them to a swimming, yoga or gym class pass (Hale Gym and Spa or Club Lime are my top picks). Finally, moving from physical to mental health, a month or year’s subscription to the Headspace meditation app would be a gift that keeps on giving.
